Computer Education
The school has excellent Computer Labs equipped with modern computers and peripherals for Juniors & Seniors. Every effort is made to develop computer awareness as this is an essential and useful tool of modern learning. Computer Education is compulsory for all students. Technology Aided Learning is an integral part of the curriculum.
Technology Aided Learning
The faculty members are made to undergo Intel’s Teach to the Future Programme to make them well versed in using technology as a teaching aid. The I.T. Resource Room and Multi Media Room are also used by students & teachers to make learning more research based through Power Point Presentations, Internet and Educational Software.
Literary Activities
To ignite flights of imagination, spontaneity of expression and to develop the skill of public speaking, contests like Declamation, Debates, Extempore and Poetry Recitation are held. Similarly, effort is made to develop writing skills through Creative Writing, Slogan Writing, Caption Writing, Story Writing, Calligraphy Contests etc. Two periods of Elocution per week are an essential part of the curriculum in every class. The school publishes a bi-annual Newsletter namely St. Soldier Times managed by an editorial board consisting of student & teacher editors. Besides acting as a chronicle of the school, the newsletter provides a platform for building scribes and helps to tap their creative talent.
Cultural Activities
Students are encouraged to participate in performing arts like Dramatics, Singing and Dancing. These promote rhythm, aesthetic sense and self confidence in them. Due emphasis is laid on Classical as well as Western Music and Dance. Special provisions have been made for these in the routine time table.
Art & Craft Activities
Various competitions like Collage Making, Rakhi Making, Rangoli, Waste to Wealth, Poster Making & Painting Contests are held to motivate the students and encourage creativity.
Assembly Activities
Each section from Pre-Nursery to Class XII is given an opportunity to conduct the Assembly wherein activities related to themes concerning moral values, hygiene, civic sense, environment, communal harmony, social awareness and burning issues are depicted in the form of meaningful presentations. Each and every student of the class is made to participate in the activity, thereby fulfilling our mission of all round development of the child.
Life Skills
To help students equip themselves to face challenges and enhance the value and quality of life in order to fulfill the potential that this new millennium has in store for them, the school provides an extensive curriculum on life skills. It includes health education, dignity of labour, love for nature, aesthetics, empathy, civic sense, social skills and disaster management. It is designed to facilitate skills that not only enhance the quality of life but also the natural and social environment.
Value Education
The School imparts moral education to equip the students with the desired social values. Fundamentals of all religions are properly brought home to them so that they can rise above narrow sectarian concepts.
